Countdown City Comic Con will have several amazing artists, one we are very excited about is Phil's Garage Illustration.
This native Texan has been drawing ever since he could pick up a crayon. He began sharing his art with the world through his color work in 2013 children's book Frog In My Bucket. In 2015, he had the oppportunity to work with Tim Duncan's Black Jack Speed Shop to produce car art for the charity raffle of their custom Punisher Challenger. His work has been chosen for comic book convention programs, convention activities, and has even appeared in the pages of the newly relaunched CARtoons Magazine. Always looking for the next artistic challenge, you will find him exhibiting at conventions, market events, and car shows across the state.
Davy have dreamed of being a syndicated cartoonist since he was 7 years old after falling in love with the Sunday funnies running in the local paper, The Galveston Daily News. It was at that moment that Davy decided I would be a cartoonist when he grew up. Charmy's Army is the latest comic strip created by Davy, and it is a huge hit. Running in three newspapers, Davy's comic strip has a massive following in print and online. Charmy's Army follows the lives of a few army ants and a monkey who are all stationed at Fort Hill. Check out his comic strip at www.okracomics.com. Davy produces his comic strip the "old school" way, even lettering his balloons by hand. Stop my Davy's table in Artist's Alley and check out his original art from his comic strip's newspaper run. Davy also produces some stunning mashups of his characters... and he takes commissions.
